Site Designed By ZipIT Web Designs (Colleen Fricke) HOME Welcome, Hamadra is operated by Andrew and Kerri McKenzie and family; Riley and Brenden.  Hamadra was established in 1994. Our property ‘Wild Horse Creek’ is situated about 200km west of Rockhampton and 100km east of Emerald.  Consisting of brigalow, buffel country.  Hamadra has focused its breeding plan over the past 15 years concentrating on Fertility, Function,  Frame and Superb Temperament, through a combination or sire selection and fertile functional cows. Hamadras’ aim is to breed easy care, early maturing cattle with clean underlines, good udders and plenty of beef, muscle and bone on a moderate frame size.  The centrepiece of Hamadra’s program is the production of the highest quality bulls; bulls that have the capabilities to implant their inherited genetic strengths into their progeny in all environments. The 65 strong Hamadra stud females is backed up by 600 commercial breeding females.  Where sires are thoroughly tested and their progeny’s performance is followed over right through to the consumer.  This feedback is extremely important in ensuring the herd remains on a path of continual improvement. Hamadra sires are sold at 2 auction sales; the National Droughtmaster Sale at Rockhmapton held in September and the Tropical Breeds Sale held at Roma in October.  As of yet, no stud females have been offered for sale but look forward to seeing so in the near future. Private paddock sales and inspections are very welcome all year round.
